BRADFORD WEST GWILLIMBURY, Ont. – A 55-year-old man is facing a charge of first degree murder in the death of his wife, according to South Simcoe Police.
Police were called to a home on Colborne Street on Saturday morning, where they found the body of a 51-year-old woman.

Her husband, 55-year-old Jose Fernandes is charged with first degree murder.
He is in custody and due is scheduled for a bail court appearance via video linkup on Wednesday.
Police have issued a publication ban and are issuing no further details at this time.
