EDMONTON — Police said Wednesday that a death in the city’s northwest originally deemed suspicious is not.
Police officers were called to a fire at a home in the area of 121 Avenue and 123 Street at around 10:40 p.m. Friday.
After the fire was contained, police found a man inside the home with “obvious trauma.” Paramedics treated the man on scene and took him to hospital, where he died of his injuries at around 11:10 p.m.
Officers remained on scene Saturday and the home was still cordoned off with police tape.
An autopsy was completed Nov. 24 and the medical examiner determined the death was non-criminal.
