WINNIPEG — The Manitoba government will deliver its final throne speech Monday afternoon before next April’s election.
Premier Greg Selinger hasn’t given any advance details, but CJOB News is reporting the speech will focus on more funding for Manitoba roads.
CJOB also said the NDP government is promising millions for additional lanes on Kenaston Boulevard.
Other funds will help the city with rapid transit and further expansion of the Chief Peguis Trail.
The Canadian Press is also reporting the throne speech will offer paid leave for victims of domestic violence.
The speech marks the beginning of the new legislative session, but will also set the tone for the provincial election on April 19th, 2016.
