EDMONTON – An Alberta man has been charged in the death of his common-law wife.
Last Friday Vicky Cardinal, 35, was taken to an Edmonton hospital from Peerless Trout First Nation in northern Alberta with serious injuries. She died in hospital two days later.
Following an autopsy, Peter Noskey, 35, was charged with manslaughter and failing to comply with a recognizance.
Cardinal and Noskey were living together in a common-law relationship on the first nation.
Noskey is in custody and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Red Earth Creek, Alta. on Nov. 17.
Peerless Trout First Nation is about 500 kilometres north of Edmonton.
