Police charge Toronto man in killing of 59-year-old Mississauga spa owner

TORONTO — Police have arrested a man in connection with the slaying of 59-year-old Ming-Chien “Teresa” Hsin, a well-known spa owner whose body was found inside a vehicle near Square One Mall in Mississauga in April.

Peel Regional Police said Hsin’s body was found with obvious signs of trauma inside a black BMW across the street from the mall on April 10.

She had previously been linked to a missing persons case after she was last seen on April 8 in the Hurontario Street and Rathburn Road area of Mississauga.

The woman’s friends have said she was also the victim of a near-fatal stabbing last November.

On Monday, police charged 21-year-old Mark Dookhram of Toronto with one count of first-degree murder.

He is scheduled to appear in a Brampton court on Tuesday for a bail hearing.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have information is asked to contact Peel Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
