CWOF: Buble On babies, family and what being Canadian means to him

TORONTO – ET Canada caught up with Michael Bublé on the red carpet on Saturday to talk babies, family and being inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame. The down-to-earth B.C.-born crooner told us “I’m here to celebrate with my family and my country, you know this means a lot to me… to be recognized like this alongside great icons, it’s mind-blowing.”

Answering a Twitter fan question, Bublé said the best piece of advice he’s ever received helping him get where he is today: “Never take away someone’s dignity … and in Canada it goes without saying, you know we’re a land of compassion. We really are,” he said.

“And I think we’re self-aware and kind enough never to do that. As I’ve gone around the world and travelled to 60 countries, that part of Canada has come with me. And I hope that I’ve represented my country well.”

His face lit up when he talked about his expectant wife Luisana and their other little one on the way, saying “it gets a little more uncomfortable every single night … she’s beautiful, she looks so radiant and vibrant, gorgeous. More gorgeous than usual, and that’s saying a lot.”

And even though Luisana couldn’t be with Michael on his big night in person since she’s working right now, he told us he was planning to Facetime her during his speech so she could see it.
