1 dead, 1 injured in head-on crash in Milton, Ont.

MILTON, Ont. – One man is dead and another is in hospital after a two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

Halton police say the head-on crash occurred at approximately 12:50 a.m. on Guelph Line near Mohawk Racetrack.

According to police, a grey-coloured Mazda travelling southbound toward Campbellville veered into the northbound lane and struck a blue Ford Focus head-on.

The 48-year-old Mazda driver was airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other driver, a 21-year-old man, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police don’t know what cause the Mazda to swerve and ask anyone with information to contact the Halton Collision Reconstruction Unit.
