REGINA – Police are asking for your help to find the person who stabbed a man in the Washington Park area of Regina on Thursday night.
Police were called to a house on Elizabeth Crescent just after 11 p.m. and found a 47-year-old man who had been stabbed and was bleeding profusely from a serious wound to his arm.
While police were trying to secure the scene one of the officers applied a tourniquet above the wound of the victim. EMS transported the victim to hospital and said the victim would likely have died if it was not for the actions of the officer.
Early investigation indicates that the victim heard someone outside of his residence and went outside to investigate. An altercation developed and at one point the victim was chasing the suspect with a bat before the suspect stabbed the victim.
Police are looking for an aboriginal male who is between 20-25 year-old, wearing a dark hoodie, jeans, and a hat.
If anyone has any information about this crime they are asked to call Regina Police at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
