It’s a triple surprise for Salmon Arm mom-to-be

SALMON ARM – They waited years to have a baby.

Now a Salmon Arm couple are going to have three of them at once.

Mahalia Meeuwsen was shocked to hear she’d be having triplet girls as she and her husband Mike were trying to accept being childless.

Doctors say identical triplets happen about once in 50 million births.

Meeuwsen, 42, conceived naturally without using fertility drugs.

She is in hospital in Kamloops on bed-rest pending a November 16th C-section.

Meeuwsen says it’s amazing to see the three fetuses on ultrasound.
