$35.3 million in repairs coming to IGF in Winnipeg

WINNIPEG — Less than three years after it opened, Investors Group Field will undergo $35.3 million in repairs.

The province has approved a private loan guarantee for that amount to BBB Inc, the consortium representing the province, city of Winnipeg, University of Manitoba and the Winnipeg Football Club.  The spokesperson for the province wrote in an email to Global News that “this will allow repairs to begin on the deficiencies identified following the Grey Cup.”

$4.7 million  has already been spent to fix a leaking ceiling and concrete cracks.
