Prince Harry joining Michelle Obama to meet wounded US military members

LONDON – Prince Harry will join U.S. first lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden in Virginia next week to promote next year’s Invictus Games.

Harry spearheaded the Invictus Games, an international sporting competition for injured armed service personnel. The first games were held in London last September, and the event in Orlando, Florida, is planned for May 2016.

The prince’s visit on Oct. 28 aims to highlight the mental health and wellbeing of service personnel.

Officials say he plans to visit Fort Belvoir military base with Michelle Obama and Jill Biden, who is U.S. Vice-President Joe Biden’s wife, to meet wounded servicemen and women.

Harry will also attend a reception at the British ambassador’s house in Washington.
