TORONTO – The Toronto/Kansas City rivalry has become so heated that even the local libraries are trash-talking.
Local libraries in the two cities are mixing it up on Twitter while their local baseball teams clash in the American League Championship Series.
Kansas City kicked off an unusual feud with a literary jab at the Blue Jays Tuesday, posting a photo showing three books whose stacked spines read:
“Canada. Sorry you lost. What Bluebirds Do.”
The Toronto Public Library fired back Wednesday with a defiant and Yogi Berra-inspired response.
The Jays currently trail the best-of-seven series 3-1 heading into Wednesday’s pivotal Game 5.

But it didn’t take long for Blue Jays fans to respond to the challenge with book covers of their own.
