CALGARY – Calgary police were investigating an anonymous call about a suspicious package at a southeast mall Monday night.
Police said some people were evacuated from Southcentre Mall, but it wasn’t immediately clear if the evacuation affected the entire mall or certain parts.
Numerous police vehicles and groups of people could be seen gathered outside the mall just after 6 p.m.
Just after 7:30 p.m., the mall announced on Twitter the situation had been resolved and no danger was discovered.
Police confirmed the mall and surrounding area were searched and no threat was found after a computer-generated threat came in at around 5:45 p.m.
