How Global Saskatoon is covering the 2015 federal election

Global Saskatoon TV coverage

The Global Saskatoon news team will be in the studio and on the ground to bring you results from around the province.

The night starts with a provincial Evening News anchored by Wendy Winiewski and Whitney Stinson.

At 6:30 p.m. local time, we will join the full national election coverage with Global National’s Dawna Friesen and The West Block’s Tom Clark.

We have your provincial results covered throughout the night with live inserts into our national coverage. Anchored by Wendy Winiewski and Whitney Stinson, we will have in-depth coverage of the results that matter to you.

They’ll be joined by our reporters in the field. Joel Senick will be at the Travelodge for reaction from local Conservative candidates, Leena Latafat will have reaction from the NDP candidates at the Masonic Temple and Carly Robinson will be at the Sheraton Cavalier for reaction from the Liberal candidates.

Meaghan Craig will be in the studio with guests for analysis of the results and what it means for Saskatoon and the province.

Then at 10 p.m. CT, we wrap up election night with New Hour Final. Anchored by Wendy Winiewski and Whitney Stinson, we will have a complete look at the results from around the province, reaction from the candidates and analysis.

Won’t be near a TV?

The Decision Canada broadcast will be live-streamed on Globalnews.ca, the Global News Facebook page as well as on our YouTube channel and YouTube’s election 2015 hub.

Throughout the day, Global News journalists will be writing about what shaped voters’ decisions with an exclusive election day poll that dives into the minds of Canadians.

And with the outcome looking like a minority government, we will have analysis about what could happen next – will Justin Trudeau and Tom Mulcair form a coalition? What happens if neither one of the opposition parties commit to working with the leading party?
