WINNIPEG — The independent investigation unit is turning to the public for help in a police chase and fatal crash that killed 20-year-old Taylor Renwick on Oct. 9.
Renwick was headed home for Thanksgiving to Napinka near Melita from Winnipeg when she died in a head-on collision on Highway 2, just two kilometers east of St. Claude around 11:30 p.m.
An alleged drunk driver was being pursued by RCMP who say they had backed off before the crash because of excessive speeds and reckless driving.
