Saskatchewan RCMP said on the Thanksgiving long weekend that they have apprehended a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant. On Friday, the Shellbrook RCMP detachment received information about the whereabouts of Cheyenne Hubert Pechawis.

RCMP say he was unlawfully at large after walking away from a halfway house in British Columbia two weeks ago.

Pechawis was located in a residence on the Mistawasis First Nation and was subsequently arrested by RCMP.

Mistawasis First Nation is approximately 115 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
