Selena Rose Keeper, 20, and Ray William Everett, 20, both went to a home in the 400 block of Flora Avenue Thursday morning, it’s believed they were a couple.

Officers say Everett then began assaulting Keeper repeatedly in the upper body. Witnesses attempted to stop the attack, but the assault continued.

The victim was left unresponsive outside the residence. Emergency crews rushed her to hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.

Everett was located in the 500 block of Selkirk Avenue shortly after 1 p.m. on Thursday. He faces second degree murder charges. His prior convictions include robbery and weapons related charges.
