A military helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing in Saanichton on Thursday.
CFB Esquimalt confirms a Sea King military helicopter, with four crew members on board, landed at Cordova Spit. That is close to Mt. Newton Cross Road and and the Patricia Bay Highway.
The helicopter landed safely at 12:15 p.m. and no one was injured.
The Sea King is with the 443 squadron and is part of the Air Force.
It is not known at this time why it was forced to make an emergency landing.
