REGINA – Saskatchewan’s minimum wage is going up by 30 cents starting on Thursday.
On October 1st the minimum wage in the province will be rising to $10.50 per hour from its current rate of $10.20 per hour.

“This increase reflects the growing economy and will benefit our province’s minimum wage earners,” Labour Relations and Workplace Safety Minister Don Morgan said.
However, the opposition NDP points out that even with the increase Saskatchewan’s minimum wage will still be lower than in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Quebec and the territories.
Saskatchewan currently has around 23,800 workers who are earning minimum wage.
