WINNIPEG – Two-time world champion boxer Olivia Gerula “The Predator” is hoping to add to her boxing resume at home.

“We’re in the crunch time now, for most fights I do 100 rounds of sparring,” Gerula said. “I am known to go after my opponent and punish them.”

The 36-year-old 5’3”, 126 lbs fighter trains out of Winnipeg’s Elite Boxing MMA gym for her fights around the world.

“It’s a huge mix of boxing and cardio a lot of dieting and strength training,” Gerula said.

Gerula’s goal is to inspire other women to get involved in the sport.

“There are tons of young girls in our gym… and essentially I’m paving the way for them and that’s something I want to do proudly,” Gerula said.
