Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to rescue a 45-year-old homeless woman who got stuck in a clothing donation bin last night.
It happened at Meadowtown Centre on Lougheed Highway and Golden Ears Way in Pitt Meadows.
Ridge Meadows RCMP say the woman was trying to get items out of the bin when she got stuck.
Witnesses say she was hanging upside down with her feet in the air.
It’s not clear how long she was trapped before someone called 9-1-1.
Emergency crews say the woman was having troubles breathing so she was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital in serious condition.
No criminal charges are being considered.
