WINNIPEG – Majority of the skywalk between the Delta Winnipeg Hotel and Convention Centre will reopen for use early this week.
After more than five months of being closed to pedestrian traffic, the interim shoring supports were installed making the skywalk safe again.
People will only be able to access the Winnipeg Convention Centre through the skywalk during the Centre’s operating hours.
Signs and barricades will be up to direct pedestrians and advise them there is no access to the east side of the skywalk during after hours.
There is still more construction ahead meaning temporary skywalk closures for the next few months.
The skywalk was closed in April 2015 after to create a connection to the Convention Centre.
