The Testalinden Creek wildfire evacuation alert for 180 homes and properties was lifted today by the BC Wildfire Service.

The fire, which is burning about six kilometres west of Oliver, is 90 per cent contained.

In addition to Testalinden, all evacuation alerts have now been lifted for the entire Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS).

While firefighting efforts continue in the mountains west of Oliver and Osoyoos, the BC Wildfire Service asks residents to stay away from the upland areas between Highway 3 and Fairview Road.

For more information head to the Okanagan-Similkameen regional district’s website or call 250-492-0237.
