TORONTO — Two people were injured after glass fell from the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Toronto on Thursday afternoon.
Paramedics said they were tending to a man and a woman at the scene for minor injuries.
Police and firefighters shut down Bay Street between Cumberland Street and Yorkville Avenue, which was also cordoned off.
Const. Victor Kwong said police responded to the scene just after 1 p.m. when they were informed a window on the penthouse level of the hotel had shattered.
Officers on the scene found glass debris on the ground, but Kwong said it was unknown if the window was purposely shattered or was due to an accident or structural issue.
Toronto Fire said six firetrucks and 24 firefighters were on scene responding to the incident and the injuries were related to pieces of glass hitting the two injured.
More to come.
