REGINA – Firefighters were called to North-West Regina early Sunday morning for reports of a garage fire.
The couple inside called 911 after being woken by popping sounds and were able to safely exit the house.
Crews arrived at 267 Williston Drive shortly after 5 a.m. and found the attached garage extensively damaged.
Two cars were parked inside, which provided fuel to the fire. They are both write-offs.
After knocking down the initial blaze, firefighters determined the flames had spread between the walls and into the attic of the home.
They tore down the ceiling to put out the fire completely.
There is no word yet on a cause, or the cost of damages.
