MONTREAL – Suspected snow removal scammer Martin Teoli is reportedly back in business.

Montreal police said residents should always be careful when signing their snow removal contracts.
“When several people start having the same problem, now we’re getting into fraud,” said Laurent Gingras with Montreal police.
“Ask your neighbours what company they’re dealing with and the number of years, the quality of service, ask for the contract that you signed, seek online information.”
An investigation is ongoing into the fraud, but Gingras would not confirm if it is directly linked to Teoli because “the person has not appeared in court yet.”
“If you think you’ve been scammed, you can file a complaint in front of the civilian court, but you can also report the fact to your local police station,” Gingras said.
About 2,000 customers claimed Teoli’s company Pro-Neige cashed their cheques, and then ignored them and did not respect contracts.
Some residents told Global News back in February they felt betrayed.
“Now I have to wake up at four in the morning to shovel my driveway for my wife,” said Stephane Fayle, one of hundreds of Pro-Neige customers who claim the firm has ripped them off.
