UPDATE: RCMP confirm that a 91-year-old Delta woman died in the Peachland crash yesterday. The driver of the car, a 95-year-old man who is also from Delta, is still recovering.
A 27-year-old woman behind the wheel of the other car remains in hospital as well.
PEACHLAND — A head-on crash in Peachland Tuesday afternoon sent three people to hospital.
The crash happened on Highway 97 near the intersection of Renfrew Road just after 3:30 p.m.
An elderly couple was in one of the vehicles, while a woman in her early 30s was driving the other. All three were transported to hospital via ambulance and were conscious when they left the scene, but officials haven’t confirmed how serious any of their injuries are.
Police aren’t releasing details on what exactly happened or who may be at fault.
Fire crews do say road conditions were slick at the time of the crash.
