TORONTO – It doesn’t get much more ironic than Shania Twain singing her hit “That Don’t Impress Me Much” when the power goes out – and that’s exactly what happened Thursday night in Los Angeles.

The Ontario-born singer is currently on her Rock This Country tour and her latest stop had her appear at the Staples Center. But an underground explosion that injured four and knocked out power to 13 nearby high-rises, also darkened the arena, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The singer’s career has certainly had its share of highs and lows. But it’s always good to remember that, over two decades ago, she was an aspiring entertainer speaking with legendary Global TV broadcaster Bob McAdorey on Entertainment Desk about her self-titled debut album.
