Alleged Nashville purse, donut thief sobs he’s ‘sorry’ after being detained

WATCH ABOVE: A man from Nashville, Tennessee was caught on a camera crying he’s ‘sorry’ after three men detained him  for stealing a woman’s purse. Shannon Royster reports.

There are just some things money can’t buy, and one alleged purse thief found that out the hard way on Tuesday.

Ezell Graham, 31, was caught on camera apologizing for stealing a woman’s purse and a pack of donuts from her car at a Tigermarket in Nashville, Tennessee.

Tempra Mosley was at the market and got out of her car to purchase a case of water. She noticed a man snatch her purse and a box of donuts from her vehicle.

“I assessed the direction that he was running in and I took off after him,” Mosley told News Channel 5.

That’s when Greg Mabey, a Good Samaritan, heard Mosley yelling for help.

“I heard this high-pitched scream of ‘somebody help me, somebody help me,’” he said.

Mabey, along with two other men, came to Mosley’s aid and was able to restrain Graham until police arrived.

Realizing he was in trouble, Graham began to cry, saying he was “sorry” for what he had done. Mosley wasn’t buying it.

She recorded the incident on her cellphone and told the man to never “do that again. In the name of Jesus, you don’t have to do that. If you had asked me for anything, I would have helped you.”

According to News Channel 5, Graham tried to escape from the police cruiser after being arrested.

Graham has been charged with theft.
