MONTREAL – The beach at Parc Jean-Drapeau has been closed until further notice.

Quebec’s environment department decided to shut it down after water tests showed higher than normal bacteria content.

Until then, the department suggests Montrealers swim at the Cap-Saint-Jacques beach in the West Island.
