Police seek suspects in armed Cranston bank robbery

CALGARY – Police are searching for suspects after an armed bank robbery in the community of Cranston on Monday.

Officers were called to a Scotiabank in the in the 300 block of Cranston Road S.E. just after 12 p.m. after two masked men, one armed with a weapon, entered the bank and threatened staff.

The thieves took off with an undisclosed amount of cash in a vehicle that was discovered abandoned a short distance away.

No one was injured.

The first suspect is described as 5’7” to 5’9” tall and 145 to 160 lbs. He was wearing a dark, full-zip hoodie that covered his face and had a skeleton print pattern on the front, gloves and dark-coloured pants.

The second man is described as 5’7” to 5’9” tall and 145 to 160 lbs. He was wearing a ball cap, a skeleton face covering, a blue jacket with white logo on the left side of the chest, gloves and dark-coloured pants. He was carrying a weapon in his right hand.
