WINNIPEG – Manitoba Hydro confirmed Tuesday morning 6,400 customers were without power when they woke up Tuesday morning.
Around 6 a.m. an equipment issue occured, causing thousands of outages near the southeast shore of Lake Winnipeg.

The areas affected included Fort Alexander, Grand Beach, Victoria Beach and surrounding rural areas.
Power was restored around 7:20 a.m. Tuesday.
