Man’s body found inside vehicle near Bathurst

SOUTH TETAGOUCHE, N.B. – RCMP are investigating after a man’s body was discovered inside a vehicle in a wooded area near South Tetagouche, about 18 kilometres from Bathurst.

The body was found on Sunday afternoon. RCMP responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle in the area.

Police are unsure how long the body has been in the woods but it does not appear that the death was recent. Foul play is not suspected.

An autopsy will be conducted to confirm the identity of the man as well as the cause of death.

The investigation is continuing.
