WATCH: The City of Toronto and Environment Canada have both issued warnings about the heat. Lama Nicolas reports.
TORONTO – Toronto and most parts of Southern Ontario remain under a heat warning for Monday.
Daytime high temperatures are expected to climb into the low thirties, with maximum humidex values in the 37 to 40 range.
Environment Canada says the warmth and humidity are expected to linger well into the upcoming week, although sporadic showers and thunderstorms will restrain high temperatures somewhat.
Those who are outdoors are reminded to remain hydrated. Meanwhile, people are advised to check on those who are most vulnerable to the heat including older adults and children.
