Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
In the meantime, 37th Street is closed in both directions.
Both vehicles had significant front-end damage and came to rest roughly 50 meters apart from each other on opposing sides of 37th street.
“For reasons we don’t know yet, it appears that the dodge magnum crossed the centre line and the two vehicles collided more or less head on,” Sgt. Joerg Gottschling from Calgary Police said.
