Once police arrived the man had already left the area but police found him at a nearby business. He was taken into custody without incident and officers found what appeared to be a handgun tucked into his waistband. It turns out the gun was actually an airsoft/BB gun.
Police have charged 32-year-old Jesse Colin Coulson of Regina with Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace.
Coulson was released with a promise to appear at court on September 22, 2015.
Police are reminding people that even if the gun is not real, the charges against the person carrying a fake gun could be real.
