Regina man facing real charges for carrying fake gun

REGINA – A Regina man is facing some serious charges after he was caught with a BB gun in Regina on Thursday.

Police were called to the 800 block of Albert Street after a employee at a local business spotted a man sitting at the back of their business wearing only his underwear, with his clothing spread out around him and what appeared to be a handgun.

Once police arrived the man had already left the area but police found him at a nearby business. He was taken into custody without incident and officers found what appeared to be a handgun tucked into his waistband. It turns out the gun was actually an airsoft/BB gun.

Police have charged 32-year-old Jesse Colin Coulson of Regina with Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace.

Coulson was released with a promise to appear at court on September 22, 2015.

Police are reminding people that even if the gun is not real, the charges against the person carrying a fake gun could be real.
