Okanagan forecast: rain moving in Friday

Weather update: Thursday, August 13, 2015 4:15pm

Here comes a change in the weather pattern.  Warm air will start to retreat to the south, and cooler air will move in along with bands of rain on Friday.  An upper low tracking into our region from the southwest will also cause instability with possible thundershowers Friday afternoon and early evening.

The weekend remains unsettled.  Although the upper low will exit to the east on Saturday, the next disturbance will keep showers in the forecast for the first half of the weekend. A drier and more settled weather pattern will return on Sunday.

Friday’s daytime high range: 24 to 32C

More details coming up at 5, 6:30 and 11pm!
