UPDATE: Vancouver police identify man in suspicious death

Police have identified a 26-year-old man allegedly involved in the suspicious death of a 60-year-old man in downtown Vancouver on Tuesday.

According to police, two men were involved in an argument outside of a nightclub on Robson Street  at around 1 a.m. on Aug. 11.

Witnesses told the police that the man was punched and knocked to the ground. The victim was taken to hospital, where he refused treatment for what was thought to be a minor head injury. He then left the hospital.

A short time later paramedics were called to a West End apartment building, where the man was found unconscious. He was again taken to hospital, where he was found to have suffered a serious brain bleed. He was pronounced dead on Wednesday morning.

The investigation is still on-going and no charges have been laid.

Anyone with information about this incident is being urged by the police to come forward and contact the investigators.
