LAKE COUNTRY — An 18-year-old Vernon man is in serious condition after an ATV crash Wednesday night, according to Lake Country RCMP.

Police say a 18-year-old female passenger was riding with the man and escaped with relatively minor injuries.

It happened at about 7:45 p.m. on the 2500 block of Williams Road.

“[The] Vernon man was apparently driving a mini ATV eastbound on Williams Road when the vehicle was believed to have experienced a major mechanical failure, resulting in both occupants being ejected,” says Cst. Kris Clark.

RCMP say the driver suffered serious and potentially life-threatening injuries.
