TORONTO — Niagara Regional Police say two people are dead after a motorcycle collided with a Jeep in St. Catharines late Wednesday.
Police responded to the scene of a collision at the intersection of Seventh Street Louth and Third Avenue Louth at about 10:45 p.m.
Police said a 31-year-old Grimsby, Ont. man was driving a 2007 Suzuki XR1 1000 motorcycle southbound on Seventh Street Louth with a 38-year-old female passenger from Lincoln, Ont.

A 20-year-old St. Catharines woman was driving a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound when police said she stopped and attempted to make a left turn onto Third Avenue.
Police said as the Jeep was turning, the motorcycle collided with its front right corner and ejected both riders. Both motorcycle riders were killed in the collision and no names have been released.
The force of the collision caused the Jeep to roll over and the driver was taken to Niagara Health System hospital in St. Catharines with serious injuries and was later released.
Police said the investigation into the collision is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact investigators at 905-688-4111 x:5500.
