Owen Sound police identify 3rd suspect in ‘arson spree’

TORONTO – A third suspect wanted in connection to an arson spree in Owen Sound, Ont. has been identified as 26-year-old Donald Wilson.

It is alleged the man and two others were involved in starting a series of fires at several homes in the small Ontario community on Aug. 10.

Most of the fires were reported around 4 a.m. in the St. Mary’s Hill area of the city and left 23 families homeless.

Donald “Donny” Kelly Wilson is currently wanted for 17 counts of arson with disregard for human life, 6 counts of arson to property, 1 count of break and enter.

The suspect is described as white, 5’11” tall, 160 lbs, thin build, with brown medium length hair, hazel eyes.

Police believe Wilson may have fled Owen Sound to the Wiarton or Bruce Peninsula area.

A 24-year-old woman and a 17-year-old male have also been arrested and charged in connection to the fires.
