KELOWNA–A very small storm cell hit Kelowna early Wednesday evening.

Rain came down and winds blew hard enough in the Rutland area to bring down a large tree on Tamarac Drive, just off of Springfield Road.

The tree came down across a power line, and crews could not remove it until the power company ensured the situation was safe.

It’s not known how many homes lost power because of the situation.
