Gas prices jump at stations across Winnipeg

WINNIPEG – Drivers with vehicles running on empty are going to have to shell out more to fill up.

Gas prices jumped $0.20 in Winnipeg on Wednesday afternoon.

The price at many pumps for a litre of regular gasoline around the city is now $1.22.

The website www.winnipeggasprices.com shows some stations are still selling at $1.02.

As of 5 pm Superstore on Gateway Road was still selling gas at $1.02 and dozens of vehicles were lined up to fill up at that price.

The price at the pumps at a Red River CO-OP a block away had already jumped.
