REGINA – Regina police have nabbed two people after booze, money and cigarettes were swiped from two Regina stores on Tuesday evening.

Just after 10 p.m. a suspect entered a business on the 2300 block of Albert Street and demanded cash. They made off with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

The man was later located by police – 52-year-old Steven Wayne McInnes was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery. He will make their first court appearance on Wednesday afternoon.

Then, an hour later, a lone man entered a business on the 4100 block of Albert Street and pulled a knife on a staff member.

The suspect fled on foot with two cases of beer, but was later located by police.

21-year-old Joey Lance Tanaquason was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery, Assaulting a Police Officer and Carrying Concealed Weapon. He will make his first court appearance on Wednesday.
