Summary: This is a new riding for 2015, created from the former ridings of Châteauguay—Saint-Constant and Beauharnois—Salaberry. The current NDP MP for Châteauguay—Saint-Constant, Sylvain Chicoine, is running for re-election here. He’s also brought his brother into the political fray — Pierre Chicoine is running in the neighbouring La Prairie riding.
Boundaries: This riding begins in Châteauguay, south of Montreal, and stretches all the way to the United States border. It includes Mercier, Saint-Isidore, Saint-Rémi, and Napierville. Despite its name, it does not include the municipality of Lacolle, which is next door in the Saint-Jean riding.
