REGINA – A 22-year-old Lloydminster man is dead after being hit by a semi-truck while trying to change a tire on Highway 16 west of Paynton.
RCMP say the man was working early Friday evening when he stopped for a motorist. According to witnesses, the man was about to change the tire when he was struck by the semi-truck.
The man’s name has not been released.
In response to this fatal collision, Mounties are reminding drivers to slow down when passing vehicles that are parked on the side of the road.
Paynton is located between North Battleford and Lloydminster.
