WATCH: Colorado cops terrified of skunk spray rescue critter from can

Pit two grown men against a notoriously stinky critter and you get one hilarious video.

Dashcam footage from the El Paso County Sheriff’s office in Colorado shows Sgt. Charles Kull and Deputy Troy Allen gingerly stepping around a skunk with a soda can stuck on its head Thursday morning.

The skunk was found on a busy roadway near an Air Force base.

Kull and Allen wanted to help the skunk. But they were taking no chances.

One of the deputies wrapped a sheet around the skunk and held it down while the other deftly removed the can from its head.

And with a hop and skip the skunk bolted, as did Sgt. Kull and Deputy Allen.

Public Information Officer Jacqueline Kirby told Global News that the deputies didn’t have much experience with skunks, and were just “guessing” as to which method would be most effective in removing the can from its head.
