Harley-Davidson offers Calgary motorcyclists free electric bike ride

WATCH ABOVE: A local Harley-Davidson dealership is giving Calgarians a chance to take new electric bikes for a test ride this weekend. Gil Tucker has the details.

CALGARY – A local Harley-Davidson dealership is giving Calgarians a chance to take a ride on the quiet side.

The American manufacturer has brought several new electric bikes to the city for three days of test rides.

The company has no immediate plans to begin selling the electric models, but it does want to see how riders take to them.

The electric Harleys come with similar power and speed, but without the distinctive roar the regular models are known for.

Kane’s Harley-Davidson in Inglewood is hosting the test rides, Friday through Sunday.

If you’ve got a motorcycle license, you’re welcome to take an electric bike out for a ride.

If you don’t have a license, you can still get a feel for what it’s like on a simulator.
