TORONTO – Sometimes in news, there’s no substitute for being in the right place at the right time.
A local news team from WNCN News in Raleigh, North Carolina, set out to cover a story about how thunderstorms had caused dangerous driving conditions on local roads.
Their message: be careful on the road, and drive according to the conditions.
Unfortunately, they had only just arrived on the side of Highway 301 when a fast-moving car hydroplaned, lost control, and flipped over into a ditch.
According to WNCN reporter Eileen Park and cameraman Patrick Priest, all three passengers in the vehicle emerged from the car moments after the accident.
At least one of the passengers was injured in the accident, the extent of which is not known at this time.
