TORONTO — Every great Canada Day party needs a Canadian playlist — and since you’re probably busy stocking up on Timbits, making poutine gravy, and putting the contents of your 2-4 on ice, we’ve put one together for you.
While not even close to being a comprehensive collection of Canadian music (what, no Justin Bieber or Nickelback?) this playlist of 40 true north tracks reflects the wealth of musical talent from coast to coast to coast.

It starts with Newfoundland’s Great Big Sea and includes music from every province and Canada’s north (For the record, it’s based on the birthplace of each artist.)
It’s also a mix of genres and generations, so you’ll hear everything from Nova Scotia’s Stan Rogers and Ontario’s Honeymoon Suite to Alberta’s Paul Brandt and B.C.’s Carly Rae Jepsen.
